GORTON'S GRILLED RECIPE RENOVATION CONTEST
NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT OR ON-LINE SUBSCRIPTION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCE OF WINNING.
To enter the Gorton's Grilled Recipe Renovation Contest ("Contest"), complete an official entry form found online at www.gortons.com between January 4, 2010 and 11:59 p.m. (EST) on February 23, 2010. Only online entries will be eligible. Entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. (EST) on February 23, 2010. Include with each entry (i) an original recipe using one of the following Gorton's Grilled Products: All Natural Lemon Pepper Grilled Fillets; All Natural Garlic Butter Grilled Fillets; All Natural Cajun Blackened Grilled Fillets; All Natural Italian Herb Grilled Fillets; All Natural Lemon Butter Grilled Fillets; Classic Grilled Salmon Fillets; Lemon Butter Grilled Salmon Fillets; Signature Gilled Tilapia Fillets; Roasted Garlic & Butter Grilled Tilapia Fillets; Lemon Peppercorn Grilled Tilapia Fillets; Grilled Shrimp Scampi Grilled; and/or Grilled Shrimp Classic Grilled (please identify in the drop down menu the primary Gorton's Grilled Product used in the recipe), and (ii) a short explanation (50 words or less) describing a recipe or meal renovation tip using seafood product, and (iii) a photo showing the process of preparing the recipe: preparing, cooking, serving, enjoying or eating the recipe. Photographs may be in digital format or scanned. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this Contest. All digital files must be 1 megabytes or smaller and must be in JPEG format only. Entries which in Gorton's sole discretion contain inappropriate or indecent language or images will not be considered. LIMIT OF FIVE (5) RECIPE ENTRIES PER PERSON. ANY ENTRY OVER THE FIVE (5) ENTRY LIMIT WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE DISQUALIFIED. LIMIT OF ONE (1) FINALIST PER PERSON. No duplicate recipes accepted. Use of automated processes or similar devices to submit electronic entries is strictly prohibited. Entries (including without limitation all pictures and stories submitted with the entries) must be the original work of the entrant and must not have been previously published elsewhere or entered in another contest. By entering this Contest you agree that each entry does not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity. All entries and rights to entries, regardless of whether they are selected winners, including but not limited to copyright and ownership, become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor shall have the right to use, reproduce, photograph for publication, alter, license, transfer or modify any entry for any purpose. Entry constitutes agreement to be bound by these rules and permission to use your name and likeness, in addition to your photograph and recipe(s), for publicity purposes without further compensation.
Contest Prizes: Each entry into the Contest selected as a finalist ("Finalist") will be eligible to receive one of three Judged Prizes and, if selected by individual voters, one of three Voters' Choice Prizes.
Judged Prizes: Grand Prize:(i) a $5,000 Pottery Barn Gift Certificate; (ii) 12 Free Gorton's Product Coupons (retail value of $72.00); and (iii) a professionally photographed image of the winning recipe to be posted on the Gorton's website; First Prize: 12 Free Gorton's Product Coupons (retail value of $72.00), and a professionally photographed image of the winning recipe to be posted on the Gorton's web site; Second Prize: 12 Free Gorton's Product Coupons (retail value of $72.00). One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. Ten (10) First Prizes will be awarded. Twenty (20) Second Prizes will be awarded. Total approximate retail value of all Judged Prizes to be awarded to Finalists: $13,982.00.
Voters' Choice Prizes: In addition to the foregoing, three (3) Finalists receiving the most eligible votes from the visitors to www.gortons.com will each receive an additional prize: Top Favorite: Finalist receiving the most number of votes will receive a $2,500 Pottery Barn Gift Certificate; Second Favorite: Finalist receiving the second most number of votes will receive a $1,500 Pottery Barn Gift Certificate. Third Favorite: Finalist receiving the third most number of votes will receive a $1,000 Pottery Barn Gift Certificate. Total approximate retail value of all Visitor Voted Prizes: $5,000.00.
Eligibility: Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and legal residents of the United States. Employees of Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and family members (spouse, parents, children and siblings and their spouses) and individuals living in the same household of such employees are ineligible. Entrants must have a valid e-mail address at the time of entry. Each entry has an equal chance of winning. This offer is void wherever prohibited, and is subject to all federal, state and local laws. By participating, entrants agree to these official rules. Sponsor may report, as required by applicable statute or regulation, the value of the prize and the identity of the winners to appropriate taxing authorities. This Contest is offered in the U.S. only and shall only be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Finalist and Winner Selection:
Finalists: Finalists will be selected by Sponsor appointed judges ("Judges") from the pool of all entries submitted and will be announced on or about March 14, 2010. Judges are appointed at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Finalists will be selected based upon a combination of the following established criteria: taste (30%); health and nutritional value (25%); ease of preparation (25%); creativity and innovation (10%); and appearance and consumer appeal (10%). Only one (1) recipe entry per person can qualify as a Finalist.
Judged Prizes: Finalists will be considered in a second round of voting to be performed by the Judges from March 15, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. (EST) on April 30, 2010. Each Finalist will be eligible to receive either a Grand Prize, First Prize or Second Prize, as determined in the sole discretion of the Judges using the same criteria and accompanying percentages used to determine the Finalists.
Voters' Choice Prizes: Finalists will be considered for the Voters' Choice Prizes by visitors to www.gortons.com. Finalists will be notified prior to the posting of their Entry prior to the voting. Photographs and stories submitted by Finalists will be posted on the Gorton's website between March 15, 2010 and 11:59 (EST) on April 30, 2010, during which time visitors to the site may vote for their favorite Finalist using a combination of the following established criteria: taste (30%); health and nutritional value (25%); ease of preparation (25%); creativity and innovation (10%); and appearance and consumer appeal (10%). One vote per person per day. Use of automated processes or similar devices to submit electronic entries is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to circumvent the one vote limit or to use automated entry processes will subject all votes from the person to disqualification. Voters must be 18 years of age or older to vote.
Winners of both Judged Prizes and Voters' Choice Prizes will be announced on or about May 3, 2010 and announced on www. Gortons.com. Winning is subject to validation.
In the event of a tie in either segment of the Contest, or in the event that more than one recipe submitted by the same person qualifies as a Finalist with each of the entries receiving the same score by the Judges, the Finalists involved in the tie will be re-judged by newly appointed judge who will serve as a tiebreaker and will evaluate entries according to the criteria outlined above. All decisions of Sponsor are final in all matters relating to this Contest. The winners of the Judged Prizes and the Voters' Choice Prizes will be notified by mail and will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release, including the winner's social security number for tax reporting purposes, which must be notarized and returned within 14 days of the date mailed to the winner or an alternate winner may be selected. Except as specifically provided herein, the prizes are guaranteed to be awarded.
Prize Restrictions: No substitution or transfer of prize permitted except at sole discretion of Sponsor. By accepting the prize the winner agrees to the release of his or her name and/or likeness for potential publicity purposes, where permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability: Sponsor and prize suppliers are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any contest-related materials; computer system, hardware, software, or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, or delayed computer transaction or network connections; stolen, lost, misplaced, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries. By participating in this contest and accepting a prize, winners agree that Sponsor and its affiliates, agents and promotion agencies shall not be liable for any losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the contest or resulting from the winner's participation in the contest, acceptance, possession, use, or misuse, of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, privacy or defamation. Sponsor reserves the right to conduct background checks with respect to any winner for the sole purpose of determining whether the selection of a winner creates a reputational risk to Sponsor, in which case, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may select an alternate winner. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the contest or render execution of the contest impractical as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or otherwise violates any of the rules of the contest. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify or reduce the vote totals of any finalist whose entry, in Sponsor's sole discretion, appears to have benefited from any effort to artificially impact the online vote, whether through automated or repeated voting, regardless of whether there is any evidence that the entrant him or herself engaged in any of these practices. Automated or repeated voting will be prohibited and Sponsor reserves the right to impose technical measures on the web site designed to prevent these activities.
