Skillet Crisp Tilapia with Garlic and Tomatillo Salsa
Simply cook our crispy Tilapia fillets with garlic, then top with tomatillo salsa and enjoy with rice. Easy, simple, exciting and delicious!
- In a large nonstick skillet, spray nonstick cooking spray and cook garlic at low – medium heat for 1/2 minute or until tender. Pour green tomatillo salsa into skillet.
- Arrange frozen fish fillets, leaving space between fillets and cook at medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, turning fillets over as needed until fish is fully cooked. Serve with rice, if desired.
GREEN TOMATILLO SALSA DIRECTIONS (MAKES 1.5 CUPS)
- In a medium sauce pan, add tomatillos, jalapeno and garlic cloves. Cover with water by about one inch above. Bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes until tomatillo skins have cracked, they have a slight changed color and are tender.
- Use slotted spoon to transfer tomatillos, jalapeno and garlic to a blender. Blend well.

4 to 5 garlic cloves, chopped
1-½ cups green tomatillo salsa, or see recipe below
2 to 4 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Nonstick cooking spray
½ cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
