Conventional Oven
UNCOOKED. KEEP FROZEN UNTIL READY TO COOK.
- Preheat oven to 425˚F.
- Arrange on metal baking pan.
- Bake 13-15 minutes total. Flip after 7 minutes. Keep frozen.
Fully cook shrimp to an internal temperature of 145°F or higher before serving.
Air Fryer
- Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Fry shrimp at 400°F for 9-10 minutes.
Air Fryers can have varying operation methods and wattages.

Packaging was very eye-catching, and the depiction of the coconut shrimp is exactly how they appear after cooking. There were multiple cooking options with clear and easy to follow directions. I opted to bake them in the oven and served them with sweet and sour dipping sauce. Trying the shrimp cooked without sauce, they were a good texture, a bit crunchy with soft internal breading and delicate shrimp in the center. They were flavorful. I'm a sauce gal and definitely feel adding a dipping sauce brought it to a different level. The amount of shrimp inside the breading was disappointing but satisfactory for a snack type meal

I recently tried Gorton’s Butterfly Coconut Shrimp and was pleasantly surprised by how good they were for a frozen seafood option. The shrimp are a decent size, with a nice crispy coconut breading that toasts up beautifully in the oven or air fryer. The coconut flavor is noticeable but not overpowering—just the right amount of sweetness to complement the savory shrimp.
The texture was spot-on: crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. I recommend cooking them a little longer than the box suggests if you like them extra crispy. They also come with a sweet chili dipping sauce that pairs really well with the shrimp—sweet with a little kick.
These are perfect for a quick appetizer, a party snack, or even part of a main meal with some rice and veggies. Overall, I’d say Gorton’s did a great job balancing flavor and convenience. Definitely worth keeping in the freezer for when you want something tasty without much effort.

I haven’t had coconut shrimp in years, so it was nice to have this quick and easy option to make at home. I had them for a light lunch, but they’d also be great for an appetizer. The only thing I wish is that there were less breading and a bit more shrimp. I cooked it in the air fryer.

They have a great crunchy texture and the shrimp is soft and slightly sweet fresh shrimp flavor. I used them on their own but I think they would be amazing over linguine Alfredo. The packaging is bright and eye catching, super easy to find in the store among the other fantastic Gorton's products. Definitely recommend these crispy, tasty shrimp.

The coconut flavor of the shrimp batter was so crispy and crunchy the coconut just shined through it was so delicious! Cooking it as the directions stated to the t, the breading was crispy crunchy and the shrimp was firm and tasty! It wasn't mushy at all. As we've had in the past with others. What a great product! This will be a regular for us during this season on Fridays.

So being that I love coconut shrimp I was excited to try this campaign. The coconut shrimp are already prepared and all you have to do is heat them up according to the instructions. The coconut shrimp themselves are breaded and it has coconut flakes inside the breading. The serving size is about five coconut shrimps in one serving. Honestly I felt like that was a pretty decent serving size. Now for the taste itself, I believe it tasted like coconut shrimp. I would’ve liked a little bit more coconut but overall they were really tasty and I would purchase again.

My kids enjoy coconut shrimp and they were pretty happy with these ones. They were slightly crunchy when air fried. I prefer the late the ingredients are cleaner than what this brand offers, but it was good to try another brand. Good as a back up if I can't get our preferred brand.

To be honest, these were good but not great. They were lightly breaded but it was more panko than coconut. The coconut was very light and I’m used to a stronger coconut taste with coconut shrimp. The light bits of coconut gave a light sweetness to it but it wasn’t overly sweet. It was easy and quick to heat up.

Typically I do not like frozen fried foods, but pop these babies in the air fryer and they taste JUST like ruby tuesdays coconut shrimp… and eating out is not in the budget for a lot of us often these days. I haven’t tried the oven yet but definitely don’t microwave unless you prefer mushy breading. I cooked mine in a $25 Walmart air fryer.

One drawback, is that they have definitely gotten a lot smaller over the years and more expensive, which is a bit of a letdown. After trying this coconut shrimp, I figured it needed more flavor so I added pineapple jalapeno pepper jam as a side sauce and I melted it to make it into a sauce. I originally cooked it for 15 minutes and the shrimps were still soft so I added an extra 5 minutes so that way the shrimp will be crispy.

The shrimp were small and not butterflied like pictured on the box. The flavor was fine, but not very much coconut in the batter. They’re fine for a frozen shrimp, but there are better options.
