Classic Grilled Salmon Burgers with Sesame Ginger Slaw
Try serving salmon burgers off the grill at your next backyard gathering for a unique and delicious alternative. The Asian-inspired homemade coleslaw is super easy to make and tastes great.
Ingredients
Gorton's seafood
2 (6.3 oz) packages Gorton’s Classic Grilled Salmon Fillets
1/3 cup zucchini, julienned
1/3 cup carrot, peeled and julienned
1/3 cup red bell pepper, julienned
1/3 cup napa (or Chinese) cabbage, thinly sliced
4 green onions, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp rice vinegar
2 Tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
2 tsp fresh ginger, finely grated
½ tsp sesame oil
1/4 to ½ tsp Sriracha hot sauce
4 whole wheat sandwich or hamburger rolls, lightly toasted
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare Gorton’s Classic Grilled Salmon Fillets according to package instructions.
Step 2
In a large bowl mix together zucchini, carrot, bell pepper, cabbage and green onion.
Step 3
In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil and hot sauce.
Step 4
Add vinegar mixture to vegetables and toss to combine. Divide mixture evenly on each roll bottom and top with a cooked salmon fillet. Add the roll tops and serve.
