Pickle Lovers’ Fish Sandwich

This one is for the pickle lovers. Made with Gorton’s crispy battered fillets, creamy tartar sauce and of course, pickles to top it all off, this recipe is easy, dilly, and delicious.

Gorton's Crispy Battered Fish Fillets

For the sandwich:

8 Gorton’s Crispy Battered Fish Fillets

4 brioche-style sandwich buns, split

Butter or olive oil spray (for toasting buns)

1 cup shredded green leaf lettuce

½ cup sliced dill pickles

For the dill tartar sauce:

½ cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp finely chopped dill pickles

1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried dill)

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper, to taste

For serving:

Salt & pepper chips

Preparation

Step 1

Place Gorton’s Crispy Battered Fish Fillets on a baking sheet and cook the fillets according to package instructions.

Step 2

Make the dill tartar sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, chopped pickles, dill, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 3

Lightly butter or spray the insides of the buns and toast in a skillet until golden brown.

Step 4

Spread a generous layer of dill tartar sauce on the bottom bun. Place 2 crispy fish fillets on the bun. Top with shredded lettuce and a generous layer of sliced dill pickles.

Step 5

Finish with additional tartar sauce on top bun if desired. Close sandwich and serve with kettle salt & pepper chips on the side.
